I design from my client's values: perhaps sustainability, or adventure. Maybe ambition and success; maybe it's security or freedom; how they want to foster relationships or they treasure solitude and learning. What we value underpins all the rest of the things - our drive, our investments, our decisions. How we spend our time and with who, whether independently or part of multi-generational connection. It determines the place & priority of their fur babies, friends and how they rejuvenate. Whether they are home bodies or wanderlust, the design must adapt. I plan for their business, leadership, parenting, care-giver / receiver roles demand of them. I help clients reflect the grand story of their life through their home.
I started investing in real estate 30 years ago. I understand that design must fulfill a return on investment; for resale or enhanced asset value. But - in a home - it must always start with best solutions to living your best life. I spent the first 20 years of my career in corporate, living the demands and excitement of an Executive, traveling more than home and serving in community development through boards. I understand the need for our home to be the place we can let our guard down, rest and reconnect. Whether flipping up the property ladder or leaving an asset to the next generation, I challenge the function, flow and feel of the client's home to enable their vision.
I lead your project as Creative Director, but it takes a village. We align on authenticity, adventure, process & fun. It's a joy to work with Associates and Trades that take their craft seriously and love the challenge of the unexpected (every project has them). We re-think and re-purpose the sentimental items you have collected and curated them with intentional additions from our stable of custom makers and trade-only manufacturers. It takes a village to bring your home into the expression of you.
